With the general aim to celebrate diversity, NetHood developed knowledge exchange projects and cooperations on boundary objects, instead of complex bilateral translations between cultures, disciplines and fields of action. We experimented with special methodologies for knowledge exchange rather than knowledge transfer, through transdisciplinary encounters rather than established assemblies, and instead of attempting to reach consensus, these processes of coming together focussed on building awareness and consent. Some highlights of encounters facilitated by NetHood include the following:
NetHood has been active since 2013 in the International Network of Urban Research and Action (INURA) whose values and overall approach are a great inspiration. Members of NetHood co-organized three of the INURA conferences, in Athens (2015), Bucharest (2016), and Zurich (2023). The project CROCHET also supported the INURA conference in Zagreb (2019). |
